This tutoring has been the best help I could possibly get for my struggling reader. Miss Jennifer is patient and calm, as well as encouraging.  She is truly an expert!  I am amazed at the progress made and cannot recommend her enough.  

Our son has been working with Jennifer since he was 12 years old.  When he first started, he was only able to identify a handful of letters consistently.  Our son is on the spectrum, has dyslexia, and other learning disabilities.  We are amazed how much he has learned these past three years.  Our son and Jen just finished reading his very first chapter book!  As a parent, it is heartbreaking watching your child struggle.   Struggle to do something so valuable that is taken for granted.  Jennifer has given our son independence, confidence, and so much more.  She is patient, kind, fun, and accommodating.  She is continuously incorporating new ideas, learning and going to trainings to stay up to date on strategies.  Jennifer has been a blessing to our family.  Without her, our son would not be where he is today. 

Our son started Once Upon at the age of five, when we realized he was having difficulty with phonics and learning basic alphabet.  We got him tested for dyslexia, and when confirmed we found Once Upon a Time.  He is almost seven now and we have been seeing Miss Linda from the beginning.  We cannot say enough wonderful things about her and this program.  He is in first grade and has already progressed to reading chapter books!  There is so much care and communication from Mrs. Linda, and she adjusts according to his needs.  I’ve also found so much support alongside what he is learning in school, that the concepts are reinforced in such a great way.  I would say our biggest joy is now seeing our son fall in love with reading.  What started out as worry and frustration has turned into a confidence and reassurance, that although my son may learn different than other children,  he is smart and capable!  This program has truly changed the trajectory of his academic career and we are grateful for it.

We are incredibly grateful for Jennifer and her team at Once Upon a Tutor. Jennifer has had a positive impact on our son's reading journey over the years and we've seen improvement in his reading skills but also a tremendous boost in his confidence which is invaluable. Jennifer has an amazing ability to connect with our son, making reading enjoyable when it can be hard. Her patience, encouragement, and tailored approach have truly made a difference. We couldn't have asked for a better tutor to guide and support!

Miss Jennifer is amazing!  She has worked with both our boys and we have seen such growth in their abilities and confidence.  She genuinely cares for each kiddo and is always learning/training in new methods to help with whatever a kiddos’ needs are.  We will forever be grateful for the time that she has invested in our boys!

I am so grateful for Once Upon a Tutor and the incredible work they have done with our daughter.  As a very active 7-year old, our daughter has struggled with focus and reading comprehension.  She was well behind school benchmark and hated reading.  Once Upon a Tutor created personalized learning sessions to meet her needs.  Miss Linda communicates regularly with us about her progress and offers books and suggestions to reinforce learning at home.  Her patience and dedication to her students is phenomenal!  We have seen a significant improvement with our daughter over the months and truly cannot recommend Once Upon a Tutor enough!
